Lorraine and Dylans ES
Today the weather over Cardiff stayed dry and I was able to do the shoot I should have done last week but had to cancel due to the rain.
The shoot was for Lorriane and Dyaln.I am covering theyre wedding in just 8 weeks time in Cearphilly. Location for the shoot was Roath park Lake, and the Roath park ose gardens. For the shoot I had my Cannon 7D, 2 lenses, 2 flash guns, spare atteries for camera and flash gun. I would have like to have taken an assistant, but was unable to find anybody free. I would have liked them to help with a refelctor and an off camera flash mounted in a soft box. I wanted to be more creative with what the reflector and flash would bring to the table. I havent used much flash in the past as i love natural light.
So when i fist started with flash a couple of weeks ago I kept on getting half my shot correctly exposed the other underexposed. I kept thinking I had bought a fawlty flash. But then I found a short video form photographer Karl Taylor which explained that very proble. Basically my shutter was to quick for the flash gun. Dialed it down a few times then away I went.
The couple really relaxed and showed alot of effection which it made easier to shoot as i didnt have to prompt or direct the couple on what to do.
